Tucked into a hillside overlooking the pristine meadows of the Mettowee Valley, The Old Gray Barn has the ideal Vermont rustic charm. It is located in Southern Vermont, just 3 miles from the Dorset Village Green and 9 miles from the active town center of Manchester. It is a truly special place in an area of natural beauty fit for the most luxurious or relaxed of celebrations. The 2-story barn features exposed rough-hewn beams and rustic light fixtures, a viewing balcony perfect for cocktail hours and after dinner lounging, a bride's room, large sliding barn doors that open to a wood deck and various lawn spaces ideal for extending the celebration outdoors. The Ceremony Site

A short walk up a gravel pathway to the top of the meadow is the ceremony site. It opens up to a spectacular scenic view. The site includes a rustic arbor and white wedding chairs for over 200 . In case of inclement weather, we have a backup plan with select locations in the Barn depending the size of the event or we can help arrange for a tenting option.

THE BARN

The Old Gray Barn can accommodate up to 200 guests.

The two story interior is spacious with rough-hewn lumber and rustic chandeliers. The second floor, large deck and surrounding lawns are great options for adding extra seating, lounge areas, cocktail areas, and additional bars.

The Old Gray Barn offers each wedding a blank canvas with which to create a more formal and elegant affair or to keep it casual with the natural, rustic setting. Tables, chairs, lighting, flatware, glassware, wooden bars and a large stage are included.

BRIDAL SUITE/VINTAGE LOUNGE

The second floor lounge is an ideal gathering place for the bridal party prior to an onsite ceremony. There is antique lounging furniture, a full length mirror, ample lighting and plenty of room for your photographers, makeup and hair professionals. It is also a great option for photographs when the weather isn’t ideal.

LOFT & DECK

Using the upper loft and outside deck is one option for the cocktail hour for your guests. It features a handmade wooden bar, cocktail tables and a wooden deck with mountain views . Extra space may be utilized in the field across from the deck. This space may also be used for smaller events and after party lounging.
