Arrival & Departure
Check-in is any time after 3:00pm, and check-out is 11:00am.  

Taxes & Fees
Room rates are subject to a 9% VT room tax and $34 nightly resort fee.  

Deposit Requirements- Rooms
A deposit of 50% of total stay cost is required at time of booking for stays of two or more nights. One-night stays will be charged in full at time of booking.  

Cancellation Policy- Rooms
The Dorset Inn and Dorset Green:

For reservations cancelled more than 14 days before the arrival date, we will refund the deposit less a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is $50 for a one-night reservation, or $25 per night for reservations of two or more nights. Reservations cancelled inside of 14 days will result in loss of deposit. Reservations for weddings, group bookings, stays of 5 days or more are subject to 30 day cancellation period.

Barrows House and 1880:

For reservations cancelled more than 30 days before the arrival date, we will refund the deposit less a cancellation fee.  The cancellation fee is $50 for a one-night reservation, or $25 per night for reservations of two or more nights.  Reservations cancelled inside of 30 days will result in loss of deposit.

Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are responsible for the total number of nights that have been reserved.  Requests to shorten the length of the stay will be solely at the discretion of management and additional fees may apply. Reservations cancelled less than 48 hours before arrival will be charged in full.  Option to rebook a reservation is at manager's discretion on a case-by-case basis. 

Deposit and Cancellation- Houses
Reservations on houses will be paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable after 48 hours.  A 10% cleaning charge will apply to all house rentals.  Breakfast is not included with houses, but guests may enjoy breakfast by making a reservation.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE PURCHASE OF TRAVEL INSURANCE TO ASSIST IN ANY CASE OF UNFORESEEN CANCELLATIONS.  INNS OF DORSET CANNOT BE MADE RESPONSIBLE FOR CANCELLATIONS DUE TO FAMILY EMERGENCIES, HEALTH RELATED ISSUES, AIRLINE SCHEDULE CHANGES, WEATHER CONDITIONS, ETC.

Occupancy
Room rates are based on double-occupancy.  Daily rate for additional guests ages 5 and over is $50 per person per night.

Pets
Dogs are welcome in pet-friendly rooms for a nightly dog fee ($65 for one dog, $100 for two).  Fees will be assessed for therapy and support dogs and waived for medical service dogs.  Management may choose to charge a dog deposit in certain circumstances. This deposit will be refunded once housekeeping has assessed the room after check-out and determined that there are no damages.

Damages and Excessive Cleaning
Management retains the right to charge the card on file for damages or excessive cleaning. This includes, but is not limited to, pet damage, missing items, lost keys, excessive laundry or dry cleaning, carpet cleaning, etc.  

Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 10:00pm to 8:00am.   Please be respectful of other guests and limit noise during this time.  

Smoking
All Inns of Dorset properties are smoke-free.  This includes tobacco products, vape pens, and marijuana.  Management will charge the card on file for excessive cleaning if a room has been smoked in.  

Alcohol
Outside alcohol is not permitted in common areas under our liquor license.  Any alcohol consumed in these spaces must be purchased from our bars.  Guests are welcome to consume outside alcohol in individual guestrooms.
